Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Retirement Pension
This pension provides a monthly taxable benefit to retired contributors.

Canada Pension Plan: Survivor's Pension
The Survivor's Pension provides a monthly pension paid to the surviving spouse or common-law partner of a deceased contributor. Apply as soon as possible after contributor's death as CPP can only make back payments for up to twelve months.
Old Age Security (OAS)
This pension provides a monthly taxable benefit to persons 65 years of age and over.
Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS)
This program provides a monthly non-taxable benefit to low-income Old Age Security recipients. To be eligible, you must also be receiving Old Age Security (OAS).
Guaranteed Annual Income System for Seniors
This system provides a monthly income supplement to seniors (aged 65 and over) who receive full or partial Old Age Security and/or Guaranteed Income Supplement benefits and whose income falls within provincial guidelines. To be eligible, you must also be receiving Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) and Old Age Security (OAS).

Allowance
Allowance is a monthly benefit for low-income seniors (aged 60-64) whose spouse or common-law partner is eligible for, or currently receiving, the Old Age Security (OAS) pension and the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS). Apply up to 12 months before your 60th birthday. If you have already reached the age of 60, send your application as soon as possible.
Allowance for the Survivor
This program provides a monthly non-taxable benefit to low-income widows who are not yet eligible for the Old Age Security pension.
