This program grants benefits to eligible persons to assist with the cost of prescription drugs.

Trillium Drug Program
Drug benefits to Ontario residents that have high drug costs in relation to their household income. Any Ontario resident that does not qualify under any of the other plans can apply for the Trillium Drug Program. The Trillium Drug Program (TDP) is intended for Ontario residents who have high prescription drug costs in relation to their net household income.

Special Drugs Program
Drug benefits for Ontarians with a valid Health Card for certain expensive outpatient drugs used to treat specific diseases or conditions like: Specific drugs for the treatment of cystic fibrosis and thalassaemia; specific Drugs used to treat people who are HIV positive ; Eerythropoietin (EPO) for people with end stage renal disease, etc.
